FORMATION SUR LA PRÉPARATION DE LA SOLUTION HYDRO-ALCOOLIQUE

L’absence de traitement spécifique contre la fièvre hémorragique à virus Ebola ou de vaccin pour protéger la population, a poussé plusieurs pays d’Afrique notamment, à développer rapidement des stratégies visant à éviter la propagation de cette maladie. Pour ce qui est du Cameroun et fidèle dans sa vision de priorisation de la santé publique, le Ministère de la Santé Publique a choisi la vulgarisation de la préparation de la solution hydro-alcoolique pour la désinfection et le lavage des mains.

The advent of Orbis in Cameroon

Cameroon’s health policies, as part of the 2001 – 2015 sectorial health strategy, are intended to strengthen the implementation of reforms in the health sector. The health system adheres to the African Health Development Scenario based on the district health system, and, in accordance with this strategy, is organised into three levels: the operational level, corresponding to the district health system; the intermediate level, responsible for technical support; and the central level, responsible for health development strategies.

Yaoundé Central Hospital Hosts Workshop on Ebola

According to the World Health Organisation, the control of Ebola outbreaks requires coordinated medical services, alongside a certain level of community engagement. The medical services include rapid detection of cases of disease, contact tracing of those who have come into contact with infected individuals, quick access to laboratory services, proper healthcare for those who are infected, and proper disposal of the dead through cremation or burial.
